know thyself nor thy enemy a thousand
battles a thousand victories
can you imagine what I would do if I
could do all I can a truly brave man is
ever serene nothing ruffles the
equanimity of his spirit
we admire him as truly great who in the
menacing presence of danger or death
retains his self-possession
I would rather live a short life of
glory than a long one of obscurity
cowards die many times before their
deaths
the valiant never taste of death but
once hateful to me as the gates of Hades
is that man who hides one thing in his
heart and speaks another unless you do
the work the world will never see your
vision the real and most dangerous
opponents we face in life for fear anger
confusion doubt and despair if we
overcome those enemies who attack from
within we can attain assure a victory
over any attack from without
you must understand that there is more
than one path to the top of the mountain
as for a limit to one's labors I for one
do not recognize any for a high-minded
man except that the labourers themselves
should lead to noble accomplishments I
will either find a way or make one each
and every day I get back up and move
forward with my fist clenched toward the
battle seven times down eight times up
you don't find time to do what is
important you make time men worry more
about what they can't see than about
what they can the gods Envy us they envy
us because we're mortal because any
moment may be our last everything is
more beautiful because we're doomed
tomorrow's victory is today's practice
when it comes to stress don't fight it
turn it on itself and use it use it to
make yourself sharper and more alert use
it to make yourself think more and learn
more opportunities multiply as they are
seized
each mistake teaches you something new
about yourself there is no on failure
remember except in no longer trying it
is the courage to continue that counts
from one thing nor 10,000 things revenge
is self-defeating it will eat away you
until there is nothing left
you
